Ghetto is Back!
The Ghetto is returning in 2010. After retiring a few years ago, the Ghetto will return to Super Dirt Week in 2010! Glad to see the return of the original Dirt Week party people! We'll also be having the 3rd Annual Club Wago Bash on the Backstretch on Friday of Super Dirt Week. The Ghetto will run all week long. Less than 360 days away!!
Eastern States Weekend Live Updates!

Super Dirt Week Recap
Been busy trying to catch up with school work, the Fantasy League standings are updated after the Salute to the Troops 150, I'll hopefully have the standings up to date after the Rite-Aid 200 by tomorrow. Anyway, here's what happened during Super Dirt Week.
On Thursday Syracuse opened with Tim Fuller grabbing the big block pole, and Brett Hearn claiming the small block pole. The first checkered flag of the week was taken by young Mat Williamson who had a very strong week, highlighted by his win the 358 Modified Futures Race. Thursday night, the 358 Super Dirt Series headed to Brewerton Speedway for 100 laps of racing action. It was Tim McCreadie who returned to victory lane and picked up the popular victory over Brett Hearn.
Friday was a complete wash at Syracuse, so we then move to Saturday. The $20,000 to win 150 lap 358 Super Dirt Series Salute to the Troops 150 was in the spotlight, and it was Billy Decker claiming his second title in a row at the race, as he held off Brett Hearn. Rounding out the top 5 in the event were Kenny Tremont, Larry Wight, and Larry Lampman. That night, the Win and You're In big block race was at Rolling Wheel Raceway. Chad Brachmann took the lead from Chad Homan around the half way point and went on to dominate the rest of the 25 lap feature, and captured the 45th starting spot in the Rite-Aid 200. South of Syracuse, the Short Track Supernationals were at Five Mile Point Speedway, there it was Kevin Hirthler who took advantage of Jeff Strunk losing a left-rear wheel while leading to collect the $5,000 pay day.
On Sunday, the grand-daddy of them all took place. The Rite-Aid 200 paying $50,000 to the winner was center stage on the New York State Fairgrounds mile. Matt Sheppard passed Jimmy Phelps with just 9 laps to go and went on to collect his first win in the prestigious race. Rounding out the top 5 were Tim McCreadie, Tim Fuller, Frank Cozze, and Richie Tobias. Brett Hearn needed to finish 21st to win the title, he finished 20th and claimed his 7th career Super Dirt Series big block title. Also on Sunday, Jimmy Chester picked up a big block win at Georgetown Speedway.

Club Wago Bash on the Backstretch Pictures!
Just got home from Super Dirt Week, man, am I tired!

Inspection Pictures on Race Pro Weekly already!!
Race Pro Weekly has put up their Super Dirt Week page already, and already have some early sneak-peaks from Tuesday inspection. Expect a lot more later. Starting tomorrow they'll have multiple people on scene and will give up to the second updates, along with multiple drivers and other important individuals blogging throughout the week. Race Pro Weekly always does an outstanding job with their Super Dirt Week site, and it's already starting! Ladies and gentleman, Super Dirt Week is finally here!

Some More Tidbits; Comments
First of all, I see people are starting to comment on posts. I appreciate it! There's a comment button on the bottom of each post I put in here, so feel free to comment away!
As reported by the Danny Johnson news man, RWT on Dirt Track Digest, Danny Johnson will not be driving the Thompson Motorsports 27J at Super Dirt Week. Instead, Johnson will enter a second Dullen Motorsports car, and will be Gary Tomkins teammate on the mile. Johnson drove for Dullen last week at Fulton after the Mike Traustchold car broke in his heat, and finished in the top 3.
Sitler-Kline Motorsports will be selling out at the end of the season. After having a long career with drivers with the names like Bailey, Reimert, and Hartnett, the #55 big block modified team will sit out 2010. After Kevin Hartnett ran for them weekly at Redline Raceway in 2009, and also some select shows at Penn Can Speedway, Hartnett and the team have parted ways. Shawn Reimert, who won a Central PA Speedway championship with the team a few years ago, will drive for the team the rest of the season in part-time action. Hartnett may enter some select shows with his own #88.

Decker Wins $20,000; Pauch Rocks New Egypt
Billy Decker used a last lap pass to get around Jimmy Phelps in a wild Fulton 200. The win was worth $20,000, and was Decker's 3rd 5-digit win of the season. He also claimed the 358 Series 150 lapper at Granby, which was worth $10,000, and also claimed Mr. Dirt Track USA at Lebanon Valley, which paid $17,500, so Decker has claimed $47,500 in those three races alone. Jimmy Phelps hung on for second, rounding out the top 5 were Danny Johnson, Bobby Varin, and Alan Johnson.
Also, Rocktoberbest burst into New Egypt Speedway for a 40-lap big block feature event that saw Billy Pauch hold on and claim yet another feature win at the track. Rounding out the top 5 there were Rick Laubach, Duane Howard, Stewart Friesen, and Jeff Strunk.

Laubach Wins Battle and War on Wednesday Night at New Egypt; Tidbit
Rick Laubach used consistancy all season long at New Egypt to capture his first career New Egypt Speedway track championship. Billy Pauch came into the night as the points leader, but after failing to finish, Laubach did what he needed to do, won the feature event on Wednesday night, September 30th, and claimed the championship.
Also, in Super Dirt Week news, Willy Decker will make his first ever attempt at qualifying for the Rite-Aid 200 aboard the Jeff Holbrook Race #35 modified. The team ran the past two seasons with Jason Barney in the 200, and was very impressive both years.
