I-88 Speedway has canceled for tonight (Friday) already due to wet grounds.
Danny O'Brien will be invading Can Am Motorsports Park on Saturday night for the $1,500 to win season opener.
Jon Kellner Sr. and S&N Motorsports have parted ways. Kellner, a longtime Grandview veteran, will sit out the rest of the season unless another ride offer comes along. Steve Kratz, owner of the S&N team has been vocal about the rules that make a $27,000 motor that he purchased illegal. Look for the team to run Five Mile Point on a part-time basis, possibly, with a new driver.
Per Lenny Sammons in Area Auto Racing News, Billy Decker, Larry Wight, and Ryan Phelps, who all originally were not going to follow the Super Dirt Series, will all run the tour this season.
Look for Rick Laubach to now call Penn Can Speedway his new home track on Friday nights. He was another driver affected by the rule clarifications.
Doug Manmiller will drive for Shawn Fitzpatrick in his T102 modified at Big Diamond this week, and possibly for the rest of the season. Manmiller is the defending champion at Big Diamond, but missed the opening week. Also, per SJDR, Wade Hendrickson has found sponsorship that will allow him to run Big Diamond this weekend as well.
Dirt Track Digest reports that with Brewerton Speedway getting canceled already this weekend, Matt Sheppard and Stewart Friesen will invade Glen Ridge.
