Brett Hearn won a thriller at The Big Show, while Brad Trice won the biggest race of his career on Tuesday.
The Super DIRTcar Series invaded Albany-Saratoga Speedway for the 5th annual Big Show, promoted by Brett Hearn. Gary Tomkins passed Dale Planck for the early lead and looked to be on his way to victory before a mid-race charge by Brett Hearn eventually put him at the front of the pack. The trend of good car counts for tour races continued. There were 41 modifieds at Albany-Saratoga Speedway for the Big Show, which is the worst car count the Super DIRTcar Series has seen thus far.
Delaware International Speedway was also in action for the annual Camp Barnes benefit race. Trice took advantage of a restart early in the 25-lap feature event to pass Beau Wilkins. Utica Rome was schedule to have their fan appreciation night on Wednesday night, highlighted by a regular show for the big-blocks. Mother Nature had other plans, as a persistent rain cancelled the event.
Thursday the BRP Tour invades Expo Speedway. Chad Brachmann leads the points for the big-block tour through 2 events. Brian Weaver is the defending winner of the event, while Rick Richner won the last BRP Tour event, which was held at Eriez Speedway.
