The Super Dirt Series returned to Mohawk International Speedway for the first time in many years and saw a thriller take place. Matt Sheppard dominated most of the race, only to be passed with 10 laps to go by Jimmy Phelps, who would go on to pick up the $6,000 to win. At Bridgeport Speedway the Tri-Track Series invaded the super fast speedway for twin-20 features. Duane Howard stayed hot and dominated the first feature, and led late into the second feature until Rick Laubach passed him on a late race restart and went on to take the win.
