Van Pelt Continues Woodhull Domination

Billy Van Pelt won his 8th race of the season at Woodhull Raceway on Wednesday night in the special mid-week program. Van Pelt is making a serious run at the American Racer Cup Championship, and is seems destined for an intense battle with Stewart Friesen, Kenny Brightbill, Wade Hendrickson, Bobby Varin, and Craig Von Dohren for the American Cup title!

1st 2 Billy Van Pelt
2nd 3 Joe Dgien
3rd 31 Frank Dunning
4th 9x Dale Welty
5th 13 Kevin Chilson

Also, defending Airborne Speedway champion Martin Roy will reportedly skip the 2010 addition of Super Dirt Week despite a strong run in the Rite-Aid 200 last year before mechanical problems took him out of the feature event. There is a chance that plans could change, as Roy recently picked up a guarenteed starting spot for the 200 with a strong 7th place finish in the Super Dirt Series race at Drummondville.
