Bobby Varin Injured, New Series, Other News and Notes

Race Pro Weekly has confirmed that defending Glen Ridge Motorsports Park champion Bobby Varin has been seriously injured in a skiing accident. Varin's injuries are not life-threatening, but he did break two vertebrae. Reports are that Varin plans on racing this season, but he will definitely miss some time. Mark Flach suffered similar injuries to his neck in an accident at Canandaigua last season, and his doctors have informed him to sit out the 2014 season.
