Here's some news and results from Saturday racing. Bobby Varin was at Fonda Speedway with the Jake Spraker equipment, but under a new team name. Dover Brakes Racing purchased some of Jake Spraker's equipment for Varin to run the rest of the year at Fonda with. Duane Howard was at Bridgeport instead of Grandview tonight. Howard's owner has stated the he doesn't care about points but he wants to win ALL the big money shows, which explains why Howard was at Bridgeport, he was testing for the Wingate Memorial on Tuesday. John Willman looks to be getting booted from the Saracino Racing #91D big block modifieds. Troy Wink has purchased a brand new Teo and a brand new big block for Super Dirt Week. Manmiller will run both the 150 and the 200 at Super Dirt Week this year. Ronnie Johnson has also announced he'll be at SDW again this year in the big block division. Gary Edwards signed on to run the Oscar Boria #OB's the rest of the year at Orange County. Now onto the results, a couple tracks got rained out, most didn't.
Mark Smoke picked up his first win of the year in the Cam-Am Speedway 358 race, Frankie Caprara won his 2nd race of the year in the Cam-Am Speedway big block race, Craig Von Dohren finally turned his luck around with a win at Grandview, Pat Ward won the 2nd NMX Mini Series race of the year at Fonda Speedway, Carey Terrance picked up the popular win at Mohawk International Raceway, Brad Rouse upset the field at Merrittville Speedway in the Lucas Oil 358 race, Chad James picked up career win #1 at Bridgeport Speedway, Vic Coffey picked up a big win at Canandaigua Speedway, Chris Schultz picked up his first win of the year at Orange County, Jessiza Zemken notched off another win at Brockville Ontairio Speedway, Kenny Tremont won the 358 main event at Lebanon Valley, Jeff Trombley picked up his 2nd win of the year by winning the big block feature at Lebanon Valley, and Keith Hoffman notched off his 2nd win of the year at New Egypt Speedway.
