Dale Planck announced via Twitter that he has resigned from the Mike Payne Racing #7z effective immediately. While Planck has not yet announced any plans, the Payne team has announced that Alan Johnson will run the 7z tomorrow (Wednesday) night at Utica Rome Speedway for the Super DIRTcar Series event. The deal has been announced as a "one-race deal" and the team plans to evaluate their options before making a full-time announcement. Former drivers for the Payne team include Danny Johnson, Gary Tomkins, and Dave Marcuccilli.
Jamie Mills bested a field of 21 big-blocks tonight to pick up the win in the annual "Camp Barnes Benefit" at Delaware International Speedway. Mills' 5th win of the year was worth $3,000. Here was the top 5...

Two drivers who has "try-outs" last week appear to be tabbed to new rides.
The Saxton Motorsports #23x small block modified was left open after the team parted ways with veteran Darren McCaughey. Former modified driver and multi-time/multi-track sportsman champion Eric Palmer strapped into the car last week and looked solid, resulting in the Saxton team naming Palmer the team's full-time driver for the remainder of the season at New Egypt Speedway.
The Warrior Racing #4J took to the track for the first time in '14 last Friday night at Mohawk with Zach Aubertine behind the wheel. A late race crash ended what appeared to be a top-5 run, but it did enough that he appears to be the Warrior Racing driver for the foreseeable future. The team will be back at Mohawk this coming Friday with Aubertine in the car.
