Matt Sheppard continued his hot streak on Tuesday night with a win in the "Dirty Jersey 2" Super DIRTcar Series event at New Egypt Speedway. Billy Pauch led with just 14 laps to go but broke a driveshaft while under heavy pressure from Sheppard, Tim McCreadie, Rick Laubach, and Brett Hearn. With Pauch out of the picture, Sheppard's biggest threat turned to defending Dirty Jersey winner Rick Laubach, as he mounted several attempts to get the lead. On the final lap Laubach was able to get alongside Sheppard for the lead, but Sheppard was able to use a solid run off turn 2 to go on and collect the $6,000 victory.
