Missed Another Big Show

Well, what can I say, I blew it with another show that should've been in the Club Wago Crown Jewel Fantasy League. I didn't realize that the Alex Friesen Summer Nationals were going to pay $10,000 to win this year at Ransomville Speedway for the small block modifieds. The race will be run on August 6th. Ransomville, who dropped Dirt sanctioning this year, is doing a great job with big money shows. Another highlight on their 2010 schedule is the July 2nd big block modified 75 lap race that'll pay $5,000 to win. Special thanks goes out to "Person" in the chat box for pointing out that the Summer Nationals purse has been raised.

It's great to see so many high-paying shows for the big block modifieds this year, here are the show's that'll pay at least $10,000 to win in the big and small block divisions this year...

Victoria 200 Utica Rome Speedway May 31st (big blocks)- $10,000 to win
All-Star 50 Cayuga County Fair Speedway July 17th (final segment- Big Blocks)- $10,000 to win

That's now 20 races this year that pay $10,000 or more to win for the modifieds this year. Be sure to support as many of these races as you can and show the tracks how much we appreciate running these high-paying shows.

Donnie Elliott To Run for Oscar Boria Racing

Donnie Elliott returned to racing this year in his popular #49 modified for competition at Accord Speedway, and he has now also landed a ride for Orange County Fair Speedway big block competition. Elliott will drive the Oscar Boria owned #OB's big block modified, which hasn't seen the track this year, in weekly competition at Orange County, the duo will debut on the hard clay in a few weeks. Boria, a former driver, has fielded cars for many drivers, and found the most success with Ric Hill behind the wheel of his car. Scott Flammer, Gary Edwards, and Johnny Guarino have also been recent drivers for Boria.

This Weekend In Racing

Hopefully the weather cooperates a bit better than last weekend, and we can all enjoy a nice night at the races. Here's what's going on this weekend for the big and small block modifieds.

Also on Friday, Lernerville Speedway, Big Diamond Raceway, Glen Ridge Motorsports Park, Albany-Saratoga Speedway, Penn Can Speedway, Accord Speedway, Ransomville Speedway, Brewerton Speedway, and Autodrome Granby will all be running their normal weekly programs.

On Saturday night, the biggest race of the entire weekend will be run, as Fonda Speedway has the first ever Lou Lazzaro Memorial which will pay $4,444 to win the 40-lap event for the big block modifieds. Brockville-Ontario Speedway opens the season up with a Syracuse qualifier for the small block modifieds. Autodrome Drummond will have their season-opener for the small block modifieds. Delaware International Speedway will have the roofs off of the big block modifieds for the night, as all divisions will run topless. Orange County Fair Speedway will be giving away a guarenteed starting spot for the Friends of Mike race at New Egypt in July. Lebanon Valley Speedway will see the small block modifieds kick off their season at the high banks, big block modifieds will also be on the card. Grandview Speedway, New Egypt Speedway, Five Mile Point Speedway, Fulton Speedway, Canandaigua Speedway, Merrittville Speedway, Sharon Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, Mahoning Valley Speedway, Woodhull Raceway, Airborne Speedway, and Bridgeport Speedway will all be running normal weekly shows.

On Sunday night, Cornwall Speedway opens up the season with twin-25 lap features for the small block modifieds, while Utica Rome Speedway, Humberstone Speedway, Tri-City Speedway, and Cayuga County Fair Speedway all have normal shows scheduled for this weekend.
