Following the Freedom 76er at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, two potent rides are looking for drivers for '14. Frank Cozze has parted ways with Norm Hansell after a season that saw Cozze notch 3 wins in his full-time return to modified racing. Look for Cozze to return to sprint cars in 2014. Current plans are still for Cozze to complete the remainder of the season with the team.
Expect Hansell to wait to announce a driver until later in the off-season, but I-88 champion Mike Mahaney is the early lead-candidate for the 357 ride.
Tim Buckwalter experienced a solid rookie season in the modified ranks, but has parted ways with owner Gary Spotts. Spotts returned to modified racing in 2013 with Buckwalter and the pair was able to pick up a win at Big Diamond. No word on who will replace Buckwalter in the car, or if Buckwalter will return to modifieds next season.
