Heffner Wins $17,500 Mr. Dirt Track USA

J.R. Heffner nursed his car to victory, picking up arguably the biggest win of his career with a win at Lebanon Valley Speedway's Mr. Dirt Track USA. The race started off with a bang as Billy Decker, the pole sitter, blew his motor causing Matt Sheppard and Larry Wight to tangle in an accident. Wayne Jelley inherited the lead until J.R. Heffner snuck by early in the race and never looked back. He held off a strong challenge from Brett Hearn before Hearn suffered mechanical issues and dropped out of the race going for the lead. Heffner survived a few restarts and opened up a lead over Andy Bachetti, until 2 laps to go when smoke began to pour out of the #74 modified. Heffner went on to hold on and collect the $17,500 pay day. Here's the top 5...
